There are some other guidelines for how to choose your plastic mold maker. It`s about your product size. As big size product will need big CNC manufacturing machines and testing machines.
1. Big Size Molds: Above 900 x 600 mm
2. Medium Size Molds: larger than 300 x 300mm but smaller than 900 x 600 mm
3. Small Size Molds: less than or equal to 300 x 300mm
For large molds, we should check whether they have the big machines to produce the molds, have a big crane or not, enough space for mold manufacturing.
The mold factory inspection checking list should include the below points:
1) Does the CNC machines` workbench whether big enough for 2 meters or more, and whether the spark machine, wire cutting machine, milling machine, grinder and other equipment meet the standards.
2) Does the crane have a lifting capacity of more than 10 tons?
3) Whether this plastic mold factory has enough experience to make large-scale molds, you can ask the factory to come up with the model made in the past for reference.
For medium-sized molds, it can be realized in ordinary mold factories, including: complete equipment, enough space, cranes of more than 2 tons, and even large mold factories can make medium-sized molds.
